Strootman Group wins Best Managed Companies title

Oudenbosch  (NL), April 24th 2009 - Strootman Group B.V in Oudenbosch is one of the fifty best managed companies in Holland.  This accolade has resulted from the Best Managed Companies Competition which Deloitte, in cooperation with Nyenrode Business University, the Chamber of Commerce, VNO-CNW and the magazine Management Team has organised.  This league has hunted for fifty of the best managed medium and large size business concerns in The Netherlands.
 
This was the second such annual Deloitte competition.  Strootman Group B.V. is one of the winners and is thus entitled to use the valued "Best Managed Companies 2009" title for the next year.  Director Henk Strootman commented, "When we were asked to participate, we introduced ourselves by a presentation about our activities and procedures.  While we are obviously delighted at the result, we are determined to continue our efforts to make further improvements to all aspects of our business. We believe that our Group excelled due to our clear forward planning, our effective management, and our appreciation of and investment in our employees."

The Best Managed Companies program focuses on not listed enterprises with at least 50 employees and a minimum turnover of 10 million Euro. The program stands out because it  is not only about continual growth. The focus is also on the strategy and the performance of the companies. Components such as risk management,  corporate governance,  business strategy, marketing & sales and human resource deserve special attention within this competition.

Strootman Group BV finds the right channels for A-brand residual or redundant stocks without disturbing the regular channels. It’s mission is to on one hand strengthen the competitive position of alternative retail channels by enriching their assortment with A-brands and on the other hand increasing (large) manufacturers’ sales worldwide.
